How To Write a Gutter Services Page

Creating a Gutter Services page can be difficult, especially when your main service is roofing. However, any roofer knows that in order to have a long-lasting roof and home, you need to have a well-installed gutter system.

That is why it is important that if you offer gutter services, you mention it on your website. While it may seem like there is less content to write on for gutters, you’d actually be surprised to find out that is not entirely the case.

It is also a great way to rank for a service that is less competitive than Roofing Services. By ranking for something like “Gutter Services,” you will be able to find customers that need gutter services and will probably also likely need roofing services.

In this article we will cover all you need to know about creating a gutter services page for your roofing company website and what type of topics you can cover on the page to make it rank.

Include Links to Roofing Gutter Service Pages

Like any other overarching service page, you should include links to your sub-service pages at the top of the page, directly after a brief paragraph about your services.

There are a few formats you can do this in. You could create a bullet point list with links to your services or you could create clickable buttons or graphics.

Below are some examples of how you could visually lay out your services so that customers can easily determine what type of gutter services you offer.

The amount of services you have listed in this section will depend on the services you provide and whether or not you intend on creating a page for it.

If you offer a niche gutter service, we recommend you create a page for it so that customers can read the page to better understand how you can help them.

Include Descriptions of Roofing Gutter Services

On your Gutter Services page you should include around 3-5+ sections describing your gutter services. This will allow you to explain what type of roofing gutter services you offer and provide enough content to show Google you are educating your customers, not just selling to them (since Google rewards content that is useful and informative).

Your gutter services sections should be at least around 150-300 words long, with description headings and calls to actions at the end of each section. An example of a call to action for a roofing repair section could be “Contact us to find out more about our gutter repair services.”

4 Examples of Content You Can Include on Your Gutter Services Page

1. Gutter Installation Services

One of the sections you can include on your gutter services page is gutter installation. Within this section, you can mention things like:

  • What material gutters you install (aluminum, copper, vinyl, steel, etc.)

  • The shape of the gutters you install (k-style, half round, box-style, etc.)

  • The types of features that can be included (gutter guards)

When you mention these things, you should include details like the cost, how long each type lasts, the pros of certain gutters, the cons of certain gutters, and other information your customers may need to know.

Most homeowners may not know there are a variety of styles, shapes, and features they can add to their gutters, so providing information about these options will help them know more about what they are looking for when they speak to you about getting a gutter installation.

2. Gutter Repair Services

In your gutter repair section, you should include information like the types of repairs you offer like:

  • Leaking gutter repairs

  • Damaged gutter repairs

  • Loose gutter repairs

  • Improperly draining gutter repairs

By including each type of repair you offer, your customers will be able to identify whether you offer repair services for the type of gutter repair they need. If you offer free estimates for gutter repairs, you should also ensure you mention that in your gutter repairs section.

3. Gutter Guard Installation and Repair

If you offer gutter guard services you should mention it in its own section on your gutter services page and as its own separate page. This is important to do because not all roofing/ gutter companies will heavily advertise this even if they offer it.

In this section, you should mention the types of gutter guards you install and repair and briefly describe scenarios where your customers may need one type over the other. For instance, some types of gutter guards may seem like they will be effective, but may not work. Other gutter guards may deteriorate or rust quicker depending on the location.

While you will want to provide your customers with ample information on gutter guards and their importance, you should provide general information to lead your customers in the right direction and provide even more information on your gutter guard installation and repair page.

4. Gutter Cleaning & Maintenance

Your customers have most likely had to deal with gutters and realized it is a pain to clear leaves and debris out of them. However, they probably still do not know how often they should have them cleaned to ensure they don’t get clogged.

To give your customers a general idea of how often they should have their gutters cleaned and maintained, you should include a range like “you should have your gutters cleaned 2-4 times a year.”

You can also include information about what can affect this range, like the types of trees and amount of trees your customers have near their homes. If you offer a gutter maintenance plan, this would be a great section to talk about that in and provide details about what you offer (cleaning, discounts on repairs, etc.).

Create a Gutter Services Page for Your Roofing Business Website

You know better than anyone else that gutters are important for protecting homes, but very few people really think of their gutters nearly as much as they think about their roofs.

Creating a gutter services page directly about all of the gutter services you offer will not only help people understand what gutter services you offer, it will also help inform them of things they don’t know about gutters.
