How To Write a Roofing Location or City Page

Once you have created a service area page for your roofing company website, the next step is to create individual location pages.

Once you reach this step, you may be wondering “what type of information do I include on these pages and how do I make them unique?”

While these pages will contain some similarities, there are small ways you can make them different from one another.

In this blog, we will walk through the top pieces of information you can include on these pages and how you should structure them.

4 Pieces of Information To Include on Your Roofing City Page

Before learning what to include in a location page, you should know what cities you want to create location pages for so that you can brainstorm city specific ideas for each page.

To do this, you should determine what the top 1-3 cities you service are and then identify surrounding cities that you are willing to travel to.

Once you have created an exhaustive list, you can prioritize creating your top 1-3 city’s location pages first.

1. General Information About Roofing Services in Your Target City

The first section on your roofing location page should cover your top services for that area and any area specific information.

You will first start out with a page title, then the heading for your general information section, and then a paragraph about your roofing services for that specific city.

For the title of your page, you will generally want to stay high level and include your services, the city, and the state, like:

  • “Roofing Repair and Replacement Services in Wilmington, NC”

  • “Roofing, Siding, and Gutter Services in Wilmington, NC”

  • “Roof Repair and Installation Services in Wilmington, NC”

Once you have the title of your page solidified, you can brainstorm a heading for your introductory section that positions your company as a trusted roofing provider, like:

  • “Top Roofing Repair in and Around Port City”

Once you have your title and heading written, you can create the content for your introductory paragraph.

If your target city is in a coastal location, you may want to start this section highlighting issues customers face related to that type of climate, like:

“Is your roof exposed to saltwater or strong winds? Do you notice your shingles becoming corroded or damaged? At Blue Trade Roofing, we can help. Our team has been providing roof repair and replacement services to customers in and around [community example 1], [community example 2], and [community example 3].”

Or if the target city of the page is more inland, you may start out with a paragraph like this:

“Have you noticed that your roof has started to crack or have frequent leaks? In the [insert specific city] area, this is an unfortunate result of the extreme temperature changes, which cause your roof to expand and contract. Luckily, Blue Trade Roofing can help you repair your roof and bolster it against future leaks to keep your home protected.”

If you are creating a roofing city page for a rural or wooded area, you may highlight how fallen leaves, branches, and trees can lead to common roof issues.

2. Link to Your Roofing Services in Bullet Point or Paragraph Format

To introduce your services, you should begin with a sentence like this:

“Do you need your roof repaired or replaced in Wilmington, NC? Find out more about our roofing services:”

Below that sentence, you can format your services in a bullet point list or paragraph format:

  • Roof Repair

  • Roof Replacement

  • Roof Maintenance

Or

  • Roofing Services: roof repair, roof replacement, roof inspection, and roof maintenance.

  • Siding Services: siding repair, siding replacement, and siding maintenance.

  • Gutter Services: gutter repair, gutter inspection, gutter maintenance, gutter replacement.

If you have additional services or pages you want to call out that you do not list in the services section of your location page, you can include links to them in the paragraphs below.

3. A Paragraph That Prompts Customers To Reach Out for Roofing Services

Once you have listed out your services, the next section you will want to ensure you include on your roofing location page is a call to action (CTA) section. This section will encourage customers to reach out to you if they need services, such as:

To learn more about our roofing repair, maintenance, and replacement services, reach out to us today.”

Or

Do you need your Wilmington home’s roof repaired, maintained, or replaced? Contact us today.”

4. A Section That Highlights Your Customer Reviews for That Location

A way you can further bolster your city page is to add a reviews plugin to your city pages. Having a reviews plugin will enable you to pull your most recent reviews for that city and include them on the page.

One review plugin that makes this easy is NearbyNow, a tool that allows you to add reviews and check-ins from your team.

With the check-in functionality, your team can add a check-in that summarizes the job, even before the customer has submitted a review.

If you are unable to add a review plug-in to your city pages, another great alternative is to include a section where you highlight your recent roofing projects in that city. To do this, you could add a sliding or grid section to the bottom of your page and include photos and summaries of each roofing project.

Create Effective Roofing Location Pages To Bring In Leads

By creating individual location pages for the areas you offer roofing services, you will be able to rank for local searches more easily and get more leads.

To start out, you can create around 3-5 city pages for your top cities at first and then create more as you are able to.
